1) The rental period
The rental period shall refer to the actual start to the end of the billed period of rental.
It is possible to extend the rental period if the renter (the person who placed the order for the original reservation) calls us to extend the rental period at least one day before the original device return date. In this case, the rental agreement will be amended to use the new end-of-period date, and all costs will be re-calculated using this new rental period.
If the rental device is not returned by the agreement date and no extension request has been made by the renter (which may occur if the device was lost or stolen), we will take the following action:
- We will stop service to the device on the original end date of the rental period.
2) Lost, stolen or broken devices
In the case of when the rental device is lost, stolen, or broken (outside of normal wear and tear) including rented accessories, please let us know immediately during our business hours. The renter shall be responsible for the value of the lost devices. Rental fees and usage fees will be assessed until the date when the loss was reported to our office. If you purchased rental insurance, the renter will not be responsible for more than the maximum allowable deductible.
3) Our company's responsibilities
As the renter of mobile communication devices, our company only has control over the devices we rent and cannot predict the conditions of the network. Areas of poor reception are generally known. If the renter plans to operate these devices heavily in a particular area, we ask the renter to consult with us about the general reception of the area before rental. Network outages will cause disruption in service to mobile devices. Unfortunately, these types of disruption to service are outside our control and we cannot refund any portion of rental fees.
To avert the threat of eaves dropping, confidential conversations should be made over land lines and not on mobile phones. Our company will not be responsible for any problems or damages as a result of usage of our devices.
If the renter cannot pick up their rental devices by the start of the rental period, our company cannot refund the rental fees. For renters that prefer to ship the devices back to us, please use tracking. It the renter returns the rental devices by means other than what our company stipulates, the renter is responsible for any loss or damage to the devices. Mobile phones are sensitive devices, so please use care when handling the devices.
Please be sure to return all rented accessories such as battery chargers. The renter will be billed for items not included in the returned rental package.
4) Responsibility for payment
If the user of the rental device differs from the person who placed the reservation, the use shall also have responsibility for payment of rental expenses. The reservation process will require the credit card number of at least one responsible party. If payment is not made by the responsible party, we will bill the credit card. However, if payment is denied by the supplied credit card, the responsible party shall be responsible for any additional fees (such as lawyer fees) fees incurred by the recovery of the rental fees.
5) Any court action will be taken to the highest court allowable by law. |
